Jazz Undy lives in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Born and raised near Ocean City, MD, his love of the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay grew out of his childhood summer memories spent there and strongly contribute to form the focus of his paintings involving water and motion. As a self taught artist he primarily works with oil and acrylic paints and enjoys creating multi-dimensional art using discarded materials such as old beach towels, paper, woods, metals and anything else he can get his hands on. “I see art advancing from the canvas outward as a new frontier to explore,” Jazz believes as he attempts to reconcile old and new art combinations to utilize the materials we so easily discard as a society.

Jazz is also a 1996 graduate of Brown University with a degree in Organizational Behavioral Management. He spent 10 years working in the global business world. Additionally Jazz is a local professional actor with scenes in the upcoming Walt Disney movie Secretariat and producer who works on films and other media projects with his partner Maureen Mountcastle at Varsity Films.
